01
One submission per person. Although you may help others create their submission, we want you to focus on your best idea.
-
02
We’d like to have no submission made public until after the event. That way, The Germ event is the first time everyone sees it.
-
03
By submitting your film to the Germ you agree to allow us to show it at the event, post it to The Germ Website and Vimeo/You Tube Page, and use it in the promotion of future Germs. Submitters retain the original creative copyright.
-
04
Individual submitters are responsible for any copyrighted material in their submissions.
-
05
Submissions that break a Germ’s imposed rule will not be accepted.
-
06
Submissions that exceed the imposed time limit will not be accepted.
-
07
Time limits do not include credits. Credits cannot exceed 20 seconds.
-
08
There are no content restrictions save for things The Germ would consider pornographic. If you’re not sure, ask.
-
09
The Germ is NOT a place to display a commercial for your business. The Germ is about creating not selling.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We will ultimately need your film in a high-res, digital format for the event and posting to the site. We can accept a variety of formats; Quicktime would be best.
Also include 204w(x)92h and 640w(x)480h JPEG/PNG for your video thumbnails!
The easiest way to get your film to us would be using an online cloud service. If you use DROPBOX you can send the file to us through that or you could use services like YOUSENDIT or MEDIAFIRE. If you are having any trouble or have questions about exporting Contact Us and we will get it all worked out with you.
